03Warranty, shuttle & loaners

We'd rather you never think about your car

A repair shop should fit around your week, not the other way round. Here's what comes standard.

  • 24 months / 24,000 miles

Parts and labor on every repair, whichever comes first. Break down more than 25 miles from Portland? Our warranty is honored at thousands of partner shops nationwide, with roadside help for covered repairs.

  • Free shuttle

Drop off, and we'll drive you to work or home within 5 miles, weekdays 8 AM–4:30 PM — and pick you up when it's ready.

  • Loaner cars

Four loaners, free for repairs over $750 or anything overnight. Reserve one when you book; you'll need to be 21+ with a license and insurance.

  • A decent place to wait

Oil changes and rotations take about 45–60 minutes. Wi-Fi, a work table, good local coffee, and covered bike parking out front.

04The crew

Five technicians, all ASE-certified

I spent twelve years at dealerships watching people get talked into things they didn't need. I opened Ironwood so you could see the worn part yourself and decide.

The dealer quoted me $1,900 for “urgent” work. Ironwood sent me photos of every item — turned out only the front brakes actually needed doing. $289, done by lunch, and they explained the rest without any upsell.

Hannah W. · Sunnyside, Portland

Had them do a pre-purchase inspection on a used wagon. The report caught a leaking axle seal the seller “didn't know about.” Saved me a lot more than $175.

Dmitri P. · Montavilla

Shuttle got me to work downtown and picked me up at 5. Easiest car repair I've ever had.

Aiyana R. · Hosford-Abernethy

Check-engine light turned out to be a cracked vacuum hose, not the $1,400 sensor I was told. Honest shop.

07FAQ

Good questions

Ask our assistant anything else — it knows our prices and schedule, and a person follows up during shop hours.

Will servicing my car here void the dealer warranty?

No. Federal law lets you have maintenance done anywhere. We use parts that meet your manufacturer's specs and keep a full digital record of every visit, so your warranty stays intact.

Do you work on hybrids and EVs?

Yes, for maintenance and repairs like brakes, tires, alignments, AC, coolant and 12-volt batteries. Marcus is hybrid and EV trained. We don't repair high-voltage battery packs.

Do you do Oregon emissions or safety inspections?

Oregon has no yearly safety inspection, and emissions tests in the Portland area are done at the state's own DEQ testing stations. If your car fails its DEQ test, we can find and fix the cause — diagnosis is $149 — and you go back for a retest.

Do I need an appointment?

For most work, yes — book through the chat or call (503) 555-0147. Oil changes and rotations can be done while you wait, about 45–60 minutes. Drop off before 9 AM for same-day repairs.

Can I bring my own parts?

We can install customer-supplied parts at our $168/hour labor rate, but they aren't covered by our 24-month warranty since we can't vouch for them.

What makes do you work on?

Domestic, Japanese, Korean and European cars, light trucks and SUVs. We don't do body work, paint or transmission rebuilds — we'll point you to shops we trust.

How can I pay? Is there financing?

All major credit and debit cards, tap-to-pay and cash. For repairs over $500 you can choose 6 months with no interest, on approved credit.
