Find a Foundations classReformer Pilates · Clapham, London SW4
A sunlit studio of ten oak reformers, two minutes from Clapham Common. Small classes, precise cueing and instructors who learn your name, and your knees, by week two.
New to the studio
Our intro offer is the easiest way to find your feet on the reformer. Any three classes on the timetable, a pair of studio grip socks on us, and no membership to sign.
Fifty minutes on the springs, straps and carriage, at a pace that leaves room for questions.
Old injuries, a stiff back, pregnancy: your instructor will adapt every exercise before class begins.
By class three most people are ready for an all-levels Flow. We’ll tell you honestly if you are.
Classes
Every class is 50 minutes on the reformer, capped at ten people and taught by a fully certified instructor. Pick by how you want to feel afterwards.

The studio
We opened Arch & Oak in a former piano workshop on Linden Mews in 2021: one long, light room with oak floors, arched mirrors and windows on two sides. Nothing loud, nothing rushed, no music you have to shout over.
Everything you need after class is already here, so you can go straight on to work, brunch or the school run.
Instructors
All four hold a full comprehensive reformer certification (450+ training hours) and take a refresher course every year.
Founder · Flow & Foundations
Former contemporary dancer who found Pilates through a hip injury. Teaching since 2014; known for the clearest cues in SW4.
Pre- & postnatal specialist
Physiotherapy background and a specialist pre/postnatal qualification. Runs every Prenatal class and most intro privates.
Sculpt lead
Ex-rugby player turned strength coach. Tom’s Sculpt classes are hard, kind and very well timed to the playlist.
Flow & Sculpt
Swedish-born, Clapham-based. Brings a mobility focus to every class and teaches our popular early and late slots.
Your first class
We’ll set your reformer up, show you the springs and ask about any injuries.
Required on the reformer for safety. Intro offer clients get a pair free; otherwise they’re £12 at the desk.
Leggings or shorts and a close-fitting top. Avoid zips and buckles, which can catch on the straps.
A small snack an hour or two before is ideal. There’s filtered water on tap.
Reviews
★★★★★
I’d never been near a reformer and was dreading it. Imogen had me set up in two minutes and checked on my dodgy shoulder all class. Three months in, my back pain is basically gone.
★★★★★
Tom’s Saturday Sculpt is the hardest 50 minutes of my week and I wouldn’t miss it. Small classes mean you actually get corrected.
★★★★★
Did Prenatal with Priya from 16 weeks right up to 37. Felt looked after the whole way, and came back for postnatal privates.
